with this tail tidy and plate holder as in the photo, is it still illegal? as plate is on the back and visible this way.

I believe that should be ok. The one thing missing are those reflectors?
Think they should be available say Phuket?

reflectors are not mandatory here in Thailand.
i can try to communicate with these guys.

finally got an answer from the guy doing the tailtidy.
two models as in the photos attached.

For just the trim only is 3000 thai baht (roughly $100)
for the trim and the plate holder etc is 4500 baht (roughly $150)
plust postage on top of that, pretty reasonable price considering what other eliminators go for

I like it, but at that price I will stick with the R&G cut version tail tidy. I ordered it from Australian Motorcycle Components Pty Ltd. for $160 plus $15 delivery.

R&G doesnt appeal to me in the slightest, all there products prices are inflated, and not that crash hot imo!
hopefully i can get a group buy together for this instead

I agree, they are overpriced. I wasnt too keen on the looks iether, but I have seen the cut version on a couple of bikes now and it has grown on me so i finally decided to order one. If it doesn't come through in a reasonable time I may reconsider.

Hey, I'll throw my interest in. I've been in contact with the guy and he responded positively, but the language barrier may pose a problem, and I'm not confident that he'll get back to me with a quote to ship to the US. I don't understand why he doesn't sell his stuff on Ebay. He'd surely get enough business to make it worthwhile.
He told me to wait on him. Not sure how much backlog with orders vs manufacturing he has, so I'm not giving up hope. I'd go ahead and do the tail tidy if they made a cut kit without voids for the rear signals. I just want to install the integrated sequential tail light and clean up the rear as much as possible, but the options are just so limited. :frown
