It was Parked at a Parking Garage right next to a Theater and Outdoor Mall in Kent, Wa.
I went to get something to eat and watch a Movie. After that I went to go home and my helmet was gone. And yes I do wish they would have just cut the D-Ring.
There was also nothing Special about my helmet, it was a cheap $100 HJC.
Thats why I bought it, I figured no one would want it.
It was well after 1AM when the movie got out which sucked even more.

Now I have to Replace that back side Panel. So Pissed Off!!!!!

Sometimes it’s just impossible to understand what the h*** people are thinking. Getting damage dropping your bike is one thing, this sucks much worse. :( No cameras to check out? Probably won't help much, but still...

I loop an 18" cable through the faceplate, then lock it into my disk brake lock/alarm. I'm wear a fairly expensive Shoei, but it's plain white which somehow seems to be the least popular color amongst the kind of people who are likely to steal helmets. (Icons with wild graphics seem to be more their style.)

same... i have a Shoei rf-1100 and i am paranoid but they do seem to be not as recognized by thieves as pricey.

Sorry for this man, sad indeed. That fu.king thief possible has some power to do this.

i always carry my Shoei everywhere with me tied to my elbow. Never leave it locked or unlocked on the bike.
Besides, it looks cool with its red dragon graphic and i can use it as a basket for light shopping:D
and i always receive admiration and quick bike friendship from male and affection from female:)

Sorry this happened to you. People do suck. Some people are real pieces of rat sh1t.

I don't use the helmet lock. I just carry it with me. It's a cheapy, paid $90 for it.
If I had a real nice helmet, I wouldn't let it out of my sight.

People can't be trusted. Too many crackhead thugs out there.
Human scum.

The very reason why my helmet (and tank bag) goes with me where ever I go!! It may be a pain sometimes but I know where my helmet has been. I know it hasn't been dropped etc.

I have never seen ANY manufacturer-provided helmet lock that I couldn't defeat with a good solid tug or two.

You can secure a helmet to a bike, but not with anything any manufacturer gives you. They are at best meant to discourage the casual thief. It won't stop the guy who is just trying to do damage, but the truth is very little will stop that guy. If you protect one thing, he'll find a way to smash another.

I do like the XENA disk brake alarms. Just jiggle things a bit and they screech your ears off. That actually tends to be somewhat effective against drunks.

Before you order new rear fairings!!! I will have a spare set of red ones in about 5 days if you want to buy mine.
