Strange oil leak, see pic

Hi guys, please can someone tell me what this is and why oil is leaking out of it and down my engine casing. There is also something rotating inside it when the engine is revved. Hope you can clear this up for me. My bike is at 400 miles and is getting its first service next week. Regards

Thanks for the replies guys, this has got me worried. I'm going to try and get this into the dealer ASAP. Is there any chance damage has occurred or have I found this in good time? I hope the longevity of the engine hasn't been compromised? Regards

Unfortunately the plug has gone, must have come loose when riding and fallen off. This sounds a bit dodgy but the only way I can get to the dealer is on the bike. Could I tape over the hole to stop the rod popping out and ride it carefully to the dealer or is that ridiculous? Regards

Hi guys for all that are interested I took the bike in today. I checked the rocker arm shaft pre journey. I rode the 20 mile trip to the dealer and indeed the shaft had moved a couple of mm further out. Phew I got lucky. They were appalled at the fact it had done it and the mechanic said it will be reported to Honda. They fixed the issue immediately by removing the missing bolt from a showroom bike. I had my first service done today and they knocked 10% for the problem which I thought was fair enough. I know it could have been worse for me but the bike is running as sweet as a nut and I'm grateful for them rushing it in for me. For me the case is resolved and I will just keep an eye on it after each ride.

Yeah I'm pleased that ones sorted (so far). I considered the extended warranty but we get 2 years as standard in the UK which I think is plenty to get rid of the niggles
