I'm 63.

I've owned around 20 bikes, 13 Hondas.

I usually have an idea what I'm looking for, find the best price, and get it. Simple, right?

2 weeks ago, I decide I have to have a CBR500R. It the right bike for me right now.

I start looking. And looking. And looking. Dang.

I find the last one in Arizona. 453 miles away.

I buy the damned thing.

I'm not driving 8 hours and falling asleep at the wheel and crashing. I find a transportation company.

Great.

That was Monday. Now its almost Thursday. Thier window for pickup is over a week. From TOMORROW.

I'm not used to waiting. This is aggravating.

Muscle Mouth Jaw Gesture Ear

At least I got my Ninja 650 to calm me down. A little.

I went from a Ninja 650 to a CBR500R also. Kind of missed the power, but since I don't ride two-up anymore the cbr power is adequate, and I appreciated the compactness and quality of the Honda. However, I fell in love with the new Kawi Z650RS and now I'm back with the same engine as the Ninja with less weight and more comfortable ergos.

While I was looking for the "perfect fit" I briefly owned a Z650RS. My problem is I have a bad back, and by trial and error (and thousands of dollars) came to realize the forward lean of a sport bike was the position that felt best for me.

The Z650RS is a fantastic bike.

Can anyone out there measure the length of the stock muffler? I'm debating between a 380mm and a 450mm can from PipeWerx and wanted to compare to the stock size.
Thanks!

I will. I just got her home last night.

The thing is, my CBR looks exactly like all the other CBRs. Back when I was into cruisers, we all had different styles.

I got the bike a few days ago, and I absolutely love it! Very comfortable, and much more power than the numbers make it seem. Absolutely gorgeous in grand prix red.
I already added rear spools and a 16T front sprocket. I'll take a picture when my slip on is installed.

I ordered a Pipe Werx extra large muffler for maximum noise reduction. Mostly because the converter is so heavy.
