Mate, this is awesome!! Can you tell me what turn signals and number plate holder you used? You have totally inspired me!!

Thanks for letting me know!

You've done an awesome job! Unfortunately my expertise lies in food and not metalwork haha

could you show a pic of the underside? Im a bit confused what you did with the plastic. Did one part just unscrew? Is there a big opening now? From what I can see I like it and quite interested in doing this myself.

Thats awesome. Wish I could do that but I will end up completely destroying the bike lol. Great job and use of imagination to get the job done.

ok, what is the metal tube in the back? is that part of the frame? the panel on it, is that all hand fabed metal or is that part of the original plastic?

I have had a lot of request for pics of the underside so....

the knife edge... was that stock, or you had to sand the plastic flat to make the edge?

just behind the license (closest to the back) it looks like 2 round holes, are those from the frame you cut off? are you worried about water getting up there? I may have to go down and dismantle part of my bike to get a better view of things and some ideas...
thanks!

I only used the stock parts stock parts to eliminate the fender
I added NO metal

the license plate bracket was fab'ed from 3mm alum

the holes are in the stock plastic part & im not worried about water getting in.

the 2 stainless cap screws that hold the plate bracket, go through the stock inner fender & through the 2 holes i drilled /taped into the "frame"

the Chicago bolt with the big washer behind the plate help hold the rear together tightly & should keep it from distorting over time.

I actually bought the 2 extra pieces in case i messed up (but never had to use them) from OEM Parts : Babbitts Honda Parts House

Hey Big3, nice job on the fender eliminator. I just did the same thing myself on my white 500r. I have to comment on the underside pics of you work...how did you get it to look so clean?? Mine looks a lot more messy..but there's no going back now!

How exactly do you have that plastic piece on the underside of your tail held on there? I think I can see some kind of bolt drilled right underneath the brake light in your pics...I was hoping there is some other way to get the piece to fit flush with edges without drilling a bolt in to hold it together. Is your license bracket drilled straight onto that plastic piece?

I think I'm just going to buy a universal fender eliminator kit so I don't have to drill more holes for the turn signals.

To get it to fit nice & clean I used something like this:

the plate bracket holds the plastic on.. it bolts through to the "frame"
the Chicago bolt holds the very most rear together

maybe over the winter you guys could send me your parts & I'll make you a true fender eliminator for a price of course LOL
