Well I needed to cook my lunch in the middle of my ride, so I wrapped a sausage roll in two layers of tin foil and when I stopped I put it on the front exhaust pipe below the filter for 5 minutes, and then moved it to the cat and sump are for another 2 minutes. When I opened it up the pastry was hot but the filling was cold so next time it will be 1 layer of foil and 10 minutes under the sump and above the cat. Any advice would be helpful.

Spare the tin foil & stop at a bloody pub for god sakes!
In all fairness, I have heard of folks doing the same thing with their car engine.

This is an old trick people used to use travelling cross country before the proliferation of fast food joints and road side diners.
When I used to explore the desert here in Arizona, I'd place a sandwich wrapped in foil on my exhaust manifold.

Well I put up the post for a bit of light hearted fun. But I do enjoy a ride out, cook the sausage roll pour the the flask and watch the spring time come alive. Sad but true. Thanks for the reply.

I used to, but I got tired of scraping the melted chocolate chips out of the AC vents.

There is maybe only one or two weeks of the year it's hot enough here to bake cookies on the dash, but by then we stay in the house because it's too hot. Lol.
