I was riding down the highway three days ago and pushed the bike a bit.
Reached 189 kmh and there were still some room and pinned the throttle to the end.
But suddenly, engine was cut once past 189 kmh before 190 kmh. It was not an engine stall or stop, power limit or fuelling problem and 'i was not at the redline'. There were still some revs left. ( by the way, cbr500r rides like a dream at those high speeds, very stable, no hint of any shake, still smooth and it wants to go faster:D pretty impressing for this price and size of the bike)
So i am not sure what is it as i have seen a video showing cbr500 at 191 kmh on a dyno as well.
Little bit confused. Will try to reach 190 kmh today or soon again, let s see if i can find an openning in bangkok to do that:D
There might be a ecu limitor cutting at 189 - 190 kmh like japanese style??
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

There is likely an ecu top end limiter most 4 cylinder cars in the US are governed to 127 max I have no idea why maybe an ecu edit will do the trick unless its hardwired. On my focus SVT it took over a year for an aftermarket ecu to be available
