Hello I am replacing the plates For my cb500f ‘22 and I can’t seem to get right side cover back on. I see that it needs to be lined up a certain way to grab onto the center bolt for the plates but I’m having troubles getting it on right and have tension on the clutch lever again. Thank you

I haven't the answer to your question (others will) but I 'm curious why you are replacing the clutch pack on a year old CB-500...Poster OldBike38 has over 200,000 kilometers on his CB-500f with the original clutch still in it. I realize that riding styles differ, but after a year a clutch replacement seems "surprising".

Hello -I need to take the right side cover off my 2022 CB500x as well (for a different reason than you). I was wondering if you need to put on a new gasket when replacing it, and if so, do you have the part number for that gasket. I'm not having much luck in my research regarding a specific replacement gasket for that cover.

If there is no gasket listed I would think it is a sealant that's used. A good quality automotive type silicon should do it.

Adios is correct; no gasket. I near went crazy when the sump cover on my '17 F model had a casting defect and leaked and had to be replaced. The earlier models did show a gasket listed on the parts microfiche, but mine and later ones did not. I used a thin layer of Yamabond sealer and it's been fine for several thousand miles.
