Has anyone installed 2019 led turn signals on a pre 2019 model?

I have a 2016 and dislike the stock turn signals. How hard of a job would this be? I saw a thread about someone doing this on a cb500x. Is the process the same?

I hated mine too. I swapped out my stock lenses for clear lenses and installed switchback LEDs. I'm happy.

Nice! I would do that, but i prefer the sleeker look of the thinner style leds rather than the round bulbous shape
