I noticed Honda's CB300R has the battery located under the front of the fuel tank, just aft the clip-ons. That may be the oddest thing I've seen them do to what's always been a simple and easy to work on motorcycle. Have they done to any of the new CB500 models? And can someone give me a reason for the logic of placing the battery in an out-of-the-way location? I'm sure there's some reason, but it's over my head.

My 2019 500f has the battery about in the middle under the saddle. Easy to add connectors such as battery tender cables to that location.
