I did try to turn on the bike once or twice and that's how I found out something was wrong which was the backward instal. The fuse that broke was the main fuse which I replaced and now it cranks but wont turn on.

All the fuses look good.

Any ideas of what could be the solution? Could I have burned a wire or the starter? thanks in advance.

First bike and I messed it up with this simple battery install.

It'll be fine, just relax. Keep it simple. Check all your fuses first. Does the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key? Can you bump start it (from another battery source) or will it push start (Put it in second gear and have a friend give you a push and pop the clutch)? Are you getting error code? Start with that and report back.

No, The fuel pump does not cycle like it would before. I also noticed the front light is not turning on as it would before.

Replace 30W behind right side plastic fairing. Probably shorted out main fuse. Pop off top and the extra fuse is below.

Double/triple check the 15A FI fuse. Either replace it with a known-good part or, if you have the tools (e.g. ohmmeter, test light etc) go through a proper diagnosis process on it and its circuit.
