Live in the US. Bit older now and thinking of getting another bike just for fun. Drove 2 bikes years ago.
Am 6’2” 235 lbs.
I looked at the Ninja 400. Felt cramped and in my knees. Have not sat on any modern Honda sport bike.
I don’t want a 650cc or larger.

Will the 500 fit me?
Thanks.

Also was told they won’t be available till the Summer….

I think you have to go to a bike shop and sit on one. It's the only way you will know how it feels. There are so many aspects to consider, and even then a road test will blow all that out of the water.

I am 6 foot and 180 pounds. I love my CBR500R but it is a bit small for me. When I am waiting at a traffic light. I stand up straight and the seat is about 2 or 3 inches below me. The power is not here either. Remember the max load is 350 pounds. On the CBR650R the max load is 415 pounds. A 650 would be more suitable for someone your weight. Why do you not want a 650?

Thanks for the reply.

I‘m a bit on the older side! Mid life to old life crisis! Don’t want anything with too much power as I have not ridden in a long while. This is for purely fun. No commuting or driving to work and no passengers.

Price matters too as there is quite a jump up to the 650 and beyond. Could do used but where I live there is not a great choice.
I looked at the 250’s and 300’s, definitely too small as is the Ninja 400.

Well 2700fps, I had a 2016 cb650, although a great bike I found it very top heavy, it was very easy to get caught out when manoeuvering in a tricky situation or when your underfoot was slippery. I have the 500F now and other than the power it does everything better than the 650 (just my opinion). Yes you will miss the power, but you will find many advantages of this little gem.
