Australian owners - besides Xtrem Performance where else can one purchase decent exhausts for our bikes at reasonable prices?
Fitted a JRE to my sons 500R, with mid pipe part of the price and is the one in the video below. Brisbane based. Comes with remove able baffle also.Australian owners - besides Xtrem Performance where else can one purchase decent exhausts for our bikes at reasonable prices?
$700 US is too much for a muffler.
Good idea my tyga slip on is sounding better and better the more i rideI'm going to wait for the Tyga system to be developed (and my bank balance to go back into the black). Should come in at around 10k for a full system.
Woah! what kind of yoshi is that?!?!?!?!?! It looks sick bro!!!Ei People, this is my bike with yoshimura replica, it sounds great and loud
Well I can answer this one, as I received mine today. Let me just say how happy I am with it. After watching countless youtube videos and reading about them I took the plunge. I'm in Australia so bought mine from xtreame performance. Took a week to get to me.Does anybody have a IXIL L3X exhaust. I really like the look but wanted to get opinions from someone who actually has one fitted.
Do you happen to have a video you could upload.Well I can answer this one, as I received mine today. Let me just say how happy I am with it. Pic attached.
Happy to answer any questions...
I found video's are a bit pointless, they never really sound like the real thing. There's some good ones already on you tube with the honda 500r.Do you happen to have a video you could upload.
I just booked myself in for my pre-learners ride course (here in NSW mandatory).
and already have a list of mods i want to do if i buy the 500r.
Do you have a link for xtreame performance and if you don't mind me asking what it cost you?
oh man, that is OCD! Im not really sure about the yoshimura being parallel but they are an awesome pipe, you wont be disappointed by either.Could anyone with a 500R and the Yoshimura steel slip-on post a side view of their bike?
I'm trying to decide between the Yoshimura and Akrapovic and it basically comes down to looks, because based on videos it seems they sound pretty much the same. This is sort of OCD of me, but I like the exhaust to be parallel to the tail line just like the stock exhaust. The Akrapovic definitely is, the Yoshimura is harder to figure out.
Here's the pic Yoshimura has on their site, exhaust is not parallel to tail, no good; but it could be from an early prototype fitting.
Because in the only real world pic I've been able to find of the steel slip-on, which is from a user review on Revzilla, it does appear to be parallel, but it's hard to know without straight side-on shot. The end cap here also looks longer than the one in Yoshimura's shot, so maybe that further supports their pic being a prototype.
I will say that I do also prefer the Akrapovic for having a welded mounting bracket and not a "strap", but I'm not sure that justifies it being $100+ more than the Yoshimura.
Im not really sure man, I think it depends on the pipe. My tyga performance pipe gave me noticeable gains all through the rev range. The dyno sheet tyga has shows this aswell. have look at the dyno sheet from two bros and you should be able to see where the bigger gains areHi Everyone,
I've trawled through this thread and watched endless youtube clips of the different exhaust options. I've decided on the TBR carbon fibre for by CBR500R. Want to know if anyone has had one imported to Australia? If so, did it import OK? And were you able to get it installed OK by your local dealer?
Also, when I spoke to the shop they said by installing an aftermarket exhaust I will lose torque from the lower end but gain in the mid-upper end. Interested to know what peoples experiences are? Can you notice the loss in the lower end?
Yeah I'm super picky, but I figure if I'm going to spend $400+ on a gussied up metal tube that's for vanity purposes only, it's right to be picky about it. Most of the non-shorty exhausts sound so similar that the choice mostly comes down to looks anyway and exhausts that follow the tail line of the bike look better.oh man, that is OCD!
I personally don't like how that one looks. Same with the Two Brothers.Just as a thought, have you checked out the scorpion serket parallel for our bikes? they look similar to the akra sort of haha im looking at buying one as the popo gave me a defect notice for my tyga performance pipe being too loud.
