Not new to biking, just this site. Although I did not start biking until 2006 when I bought a 125cc Chinese import (Jinlun), soon got bored of that so bit the bullet and did my big bike test in 2008 (the new UK one :surprise. So confident that I'd pass (not really) I bought a Triumph TT600 sports bike before my test.......which thankfully I did pass. Really loved the TT600 as it did 0 - 60 in 3.4 seconds :motorcycle2 . I liked the TT600 that much that since 2008 I've had 3 of them all in different colours.
Last bike was a BMW K1200GT Sports Tourer..........I miss the heated seats, hot grips and the cruise control :actionsmiley
Currently riding a CBR500RA 2017 model in Matt Black (pic attached although have now added a dark double bubble screen). Hence joining this site
Lots of us have stepped down to the 500s after playing with bigger stuff. Like you I enjoy the light weight and manovreability (and fuel consumption), more than I miss the power and outright performance.

I also like the slightly more upright riding position.....forgot to mention I'm getting on in years now (at a point in life where even getting out of bed hurts :surprise::smile.
I never realized they offered the 500 in matte black, which is my preferred color. That bike looks sick! (as my young uns would say).
I’ve had Harley’s most of my life, but started in the early 80s on Japanese bikes. I still ride a 2013 Ultra Classic but when I just want to jump on something and go, the 500 is my fun bike. Nimble and quick, Honda knocked this bargain bike out of the ballpark.

Thanks @TruckerKevin I originally wanted the Blue/White/Black coloured CBR500RA but saw this colour and had to have it instead (ride past a lot of back country muddy farm roads, so should hide the dirt a lot more :grin.
