    Hey Rick,
    Thanks for the heads up.
Pointless to continue that discussion, as they talk from ego and belief which is perfectly fine as long as not presented as fact - typical case of starting fake news. Gets me especially upset that it is presented by a member who haven't even ran in his bike and supposed to be a man of science.
I actually was about to write a short reply and get the admins to close the topic as it has went totally ugly - and just create a poll wether motoring @90 in 6th is really dangerous to the engine - but decided against. The majority of the cb 500 family is sold outside of the US by a huge margin. The OP lives in Sweden, where tw speed limit is 90 kph and it is heavily enforced so no point in revving high in a low gear just for perceived safety.
But I'm not doing so. My time worth a lot more than that.
If you want to do good for the OP just report any of the posts and get the admins to stop screwing up somebody else's topic.

I would like to head out this year, but I don't think it's going to happen. North Carolina sounds nice, they usually have mild weather this time of year.

You guys got hit hard this winter, yikes. We sure did good with the rain out here the last few months. Hope we can get another year like this with the snow pack and rain. I don't think I've ever seen California this green ever in the 35 years I've been out here. It's so green up in these foothills, it looks sort of like Kentucky or West Virginia hill country right now.

So you driving or flying down to N.C.?

Sorry Rick, I just now saw this message. I don't know how visitor messages work.
I suppose I should send her a PM for a ride. It's something I would normally do anyways. It's still not ideal riding here yet and I'll be gone for the next week visiting family on North Carolina.

Are you riding out here this year?

Well, you should have a negative and a positive wire. I can't remember any other wires connected to my battery other then those two. I then added a charger cable with a negative and positive wires. If there are any other wires I can't remember other then what I just mention.

    Thanks very much Sonicboom,

I was able to remove the seat and I have another question. I removed the battery but forgot to mark down how many wires were connected to the negative battery terminal. Aside from the primary negative wire, do I have to attach any of the other two wires when reconnecting the battery?
    Thanks very much
    Dave
