Left over 2015

Hi. New here. Question!

One dealer has a new 2015 cbr500r left over on the floor. He wants 4899 for it.

What do you guys think?

I can get a new 2018 cb500f for 6099 and a new 2018 cbr500r for 6399.

Kbb lists suggest retail of a used unit as 4500. I haven't mentioned this to them yet.

Thanks

Is the 4899 an out the door price, or will they add $1,000 more in fees?

As soon as you buy that bike, it is considered used.

Something else to think about, in 2016 there were changes/improvements made to the CB500s.

Good luck with your decision.

4899 on the floor. Plus fees and taxes.

Be 5500 otd I'd say.

I'm starting to consider the 2018 ninja 400 as well

Bought a 2005 VStrom in 2007 with 93 miles on it. Changed the oil and filter, put in a new battery, and no worries.

Just paid $4200 private sale for a Ď16 with 2100 Miles. Assuming you are getting the new warranty that might be worth it.

It's three years in the shop. They've already written off the fees on their taxes the first year and eaten taxes on it two more years. You can talk them out of those fees. I'd buy it. It's new with warrantee. That's a very fair price.

I just paid 4000 for a used, private party sale, 2017 CB500F. 1200 miles.

Yours is not a terrible deal, but some better deals to be had in you can wait a little for it.

I wish I could find used cb500 of any style locally. I check craigslist and other sources daily.

I paid about $4950 + fees and such for my new 2015 CBR. It's a good deal. I feel like you should be able to get the F for a couple hundred less. But even at $4900, that's fair. They're what, $6500 for the new ones?

With the F, you have a lot of options for aftermarket windshields. Not so with the R.

You'll thank yourself for getting the 500 instead of the higher strung 400. It actually has some pull in the mid-lower revs that the Ninja 400 just can touch. Also, better build and parts quality on Hondas vs. Kawasakis.

I would negotiate lower for a 2015. Older body style. Petes cycle in MD last i saw had that bike for 3999. It's not bad price comparingly but if i was in the market for a new bike i would stick to the newer body style with the LED front lights. You will thank me for your night vision. plust a 2016 or 2017 will be discounted pretty good as well. only the 2018 will be 6500 at this point.

I bought a similar 2015 500F last year here in southern california. sticker was about $3,500 USD and it ended up being just under $5K after all the taxes and fees and stuff. Not sure where you're located but the dealer i bought from has one on the floor still with a sticker at $3,688 which is a pretty sweet deal for this bike even with the high CA taxes and fees. the 2018s definitely have some better styling but I love this bike so far and I'd recommend the **** out of it.

the dealer is tri-countypowersports(dot com) in moorpark CA
