Farlopo’s photo answered that question. As long as you are comfortable & relaxed doing it you should be good. Silverado is normally a good dirt road. I have ridden all those roads to the tops of Saddleback on my mountain & cyclecross bicycles many times. Conditions can vary, but generally the roads are OK. They are even occasionally signed along the ridge. The views are amazing in every direction from the top. If it were me I would prefer a dual sport because parts of the ridge are very steep. But to take the main road to Modjeska Peak should work. If you enjoy this sort of thing, buy a used dual sport. You won’t regret it. Make it a 250 & explain to the girlfriend/wife it is for her to learn to ride on!
Also as mentioned, buy a rad guard for the rock fling or your radiator will not be happy.
Ride like your life depends on it.
