I don't need to add oil between services as the oil level in the sight glass barely moves and that is looking at it when the bike is dead cold and level. I had my bike serviced in December for the 6000km service and in the 8 weeks since it was serviced, I've put on in excess of 2,000kms and the level has barely changed. I didn't ride for two weeks because I was overseas and I've done a few 400km + rides since getting back. The bike has performed beautifully and hasn't chewed oil and never has. I'm not mechanical so I pay someone who is. I let the mechanics from my dealer do the work on the bike and I don't screw with it between services. I don't pull it apart just to look at this or tweak that. No issues at all.

I hope that's not too 'vague' for you @CBR_Dave. Let me know if you need me to break it down any further.

Oh well no big deal. Mine hasn't fallen out or started leaking or anything silly, so i'll just pop down to my dealer next week when I get a chance.

Thats fine:-) 75mL is ~ 1mm in the sight glass, so very hard to see :-) All good.

I checked the Aus Govt recall site and my bike is a 500RA build 8/13 and it is not part of the recall according to the range of build numbers listed.

Im pretty sure if you're between 44U0D and 44U9D then you're part of it.

You're 44U5D so i'd say yes.

Thanks. I had to add 500ml of oil at 6000k's and put it down to burning a bit in the hot Perth summer, maybe not.

I'll check the level in the morning just in case.

Cheers
