well for those that live in dry climates and see little rain i could see going without abs but as i live in a temperate rain forest area that sees alot of rain.
But generally mild winters so i can mostly ride almost all year.

I either get abs for the peace of mind and added safety (same idea as armoured gear) or not ride much of the year.

Probably because it's safer and some people don't want to learn how to brake properly.

Anyways, I too am wanting to sell my 500r to get the FZ-07. However, upon reading the reviews, it has the same problem as the 09 which is a small tank. Some reviewers say that the low fuel warning starts at 120. In that case, I'd rather have the FZ-09. But since it's more expensive, i'll just wait to get one used for a lower price.

Trying to remind myself of pros for the 500r i came with this:
-Cheaper Insurance
-Better tank/miles range
-Low maintanance cost
-Full fairings

I still like the FZ-07 though.

The FZ/MT 07 is **** sexy and the bike I would get if I had more experience and money however, coming from a Honda PCX I think the CB500 is the sensible choice, greater tank range and better mpg is enough to swing it for me, plus I'm sure the CB500 is going to be plenty fast coming from a 125!
