Oil changes.

So I did my first oil changed at 850 miles I'm now at 2,000 miles I am curious how many miles should pass before doing one. The bike is running full synthetic and will be for every oil change. I know that synthetic gives you a bit longer run time between changes just curious for input.

Check your owners manual. It is a pretty long mileage before the next change.... 8,000 miles or 1 year.

I change my oil every 5,000 miles to keep it easy to remember. Do that with my truck and the bikes.

I just like to change mine every 2000-3000 miles ,it seems every time I change the oil with my choice of synthetic oil everything is smoother.
If I was on a trip & I went over my normal 2000-3000 but less 4000-5000 I might wait until I got home.I do take some oil with me on longer trips just incase I run low.

It seems every time I wash my bike, everything is smoother.

Thank you. Dad was a petroleum engineer. We moved around when I was a pup and then settled in CA. I was almost two years old when we left Midland. I do not remember much about it including scenery :-). Seems to suit George Jr. and the lovely Laura OK. Hope you are enjoying it, too.

It's definitely smoother. I posted that as a question here probably a year ago, and one of the regulars thought the idea was ridiculous. But really, when you think about it, how could oils of differing chemical structures and viscosities (i.e. dirty oil versus clean) not affect the way vibrations are conducted through your engine? Clean oil is a different conducting medium from dirty oil, and my engine is noticeably smoother when the oil is new.
