I recommend getting your bikes picked up of you have the issue. I risked it and rode almost 30 miles to get there and indeed the rocker shaft had moved a noticeable amount. A few more mm and the rocker arm would have dropped out and rendered the engine useless.

On either side of the bike? Can you please post pics of them both?

That's because there's a cylinder on either side of the bike!

There are 2 on the left side when sat on bike just under the chrome cam shaft plugs, with an allen hex head.
